About this expedition
A relaxed four days in north-western Uganda, with time to enjoy your lodge between the big moments. On the way north you track rhinos on foot at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary with a sanctuary guide, then continue to Murchison Falls National Park, where the Victoria Nile cuts through open savannah and riverine forest. A morning game drive looks for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes and lions, with leopards seen more occasionally. Another day brings a boat cruise on the Nile among hippos, crocodiles and water birds, and on the way home you stand at the Top of Murchison Falls as the river forces its way through a narrow gorge. Evenings end around the campfire where the lodge has one.

The Journey Path
Leave Kampala in the morning with your driver-guide and head north, with comfort stops along the way. At Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a sanctuary guide leads you on foot to find rhinos and tells you about rhino conservation; how far you walk depends on where the rhinos are. After lunch at Kabalega Resort Hotel, continue to the park, check in and enjoy some free time, with a campfire before dinner where the lodge offers one.
