How early do we leave Kampala?

We depart at 6:00 AM on day 1, and you are back in Kampala at around 5:30 PM on day 3.

Is there any time to relax?

Yes. Late morning on day 2 is free, so you can rest, enjoy the lodge or swim where there is a pool, and both evenings end around the campfire.

About this expedition

A three-day escape from Kampala that packs in rhinos, big game and the Nile at full force. On the way north you stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos, then settle into your lodge in Murchison Falls National Park in time for sunset and a campfire. Day two starts early with a morning game drive, followed by an afternoon boat safari on the Nile, with time between to relax at the lodge. On the final morning you stand at the Top of Murchison Falls, where the river forces its way through a narrow gorge, before the drive home. All meals, accommodation, the game drive and rhino tracking are included.

The Journey Path

An early start takes you north to Ziwa for rhino tracking, then on to Murchison Falls National Park for your first evening in the wild. • 6:00 AM Depart Kampala for Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary • 9:30 AM Rhino tracking experience until 11:30 AM • 12:00 PM Lunch • 1:00 PM Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park • 4:30 PM Arrive, check in, relax and watch the sunset • 7:30 PM Dinner at the lodge • 8:30 PM Campfire Overnight: Murchison Falls National Park Meals: Lunch, dinner
