About
Sambiya River Lodge is situated only 15 minutes from the top of the magnificent Murchison Falls. The lodge offers 20 thatched cottages with either one or two bedrooms containing twin or double beds. Each of the 26 bedrooms has private bathroom facilities as well as a veranda from which guests can relax. The rooms have fans, sun-screened doors and windows, mosquito nets, and a veranda to enjoy the commanding views of quintessential Africa. The lodge is centrally located in Murchison Falls National Park and is an excellent base for game drives on the northern bank, Nile boat cruises, hikes to the top of the falls, birdwatching, and night drives. The park is home to more than 76 mammal species and over 451 bird species including the rare shoebill stork. Sambiya also has swimming pools for afternoon relaxation after game drives.
