The Experience

Kigarama Wilderness Lodge is situated on one of the hills of Kigarama, on the outskirts of Lake Mburo National Park, exactly 1 kilometre from Sanga Gate where game drives begin. It is a 5-hour drive (236 kilometres) from Kampala. The lodge has 12 rooms in total including 2 family rooms, with the remainder configured as doubles, singles, or triples. All rooms have spacious en-suite shower rooms and are designed as comfortable, home-away-from-home stays. The lodge restaurant serves fresh meals sourced from Lake Mburo — the catch of the day is a signature dish prepared by talented chefs to meet guests' cravings. Guests enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Mburo National Park from the lodge, and animals from the park frequently wander up to the property, creating close wildlife encounters without leaving the grounds. The park is home to zebras, impalas, hippos, elands, and over 300 bird species — making Kigarama an ideal base for both game drives and lakeside boat trips.
